Pawn South, Inc. is a small, locally owned chain of retail pawn shops. Our primary business is making small, short term cash loans on household merchandise. Our major item categories include guns, jewelry, tools, and many types of electronics. Customers will bring in an item and receive an instant cash loan while the pawn shop holds the merchandise as collateral. A customer has ninety days to redeem or extend the loan, though most will redeem their item within the first thirty days.
Pawn South also sells as types of new and used merchandise. We are a primary source of hunting firearms, ammunition and accessories. Other new merchandise includes car audio equipment, home electronic accessories, tools and more.
Our goal is to meet the short term financial needs of our customers and to provide fast, friendly service in a comfortable environment along with offering quality merchandise for sale at bargain prices.
Pawn South began in 1989 in Chadbourn as City Pawn. Over the last nineteen years the business has seen many changes and much growth. Currently, Pawn South has seven stores in southeastern North Carolina and one store in Conway, South Carolina.
